Watch the “Aquaman” TV Series Trailer Online

Check it out, kids, the trailer for the “Aquaman” TV show, which was supposed to be a spin-off from the Superman show “Smallville” by the same guys. It never got picked up for the new WB network the CW, but might (and I stress might) show up later as a mid-season replacement, which if it happens, would mean Fall or thereabouts. Mid-season pick-ups are shows that replace under-performing shows already on the schedule.
It’s actually pretty groovy looking, very high-tech and special effects-heavy. It would probably have costed a pretty penny to run this show, what with all the underwater scenes (and if Kevin Costner’s disastrous “Waterworld” has taught us anything, it’s that underwater scenes are killer). Though I’m not sure why it didn’t get picked up, as it seems to be heavy with hot bodies (the lead is a handsome kid with one of those ridiculously beautiful bodies) and there seems to be a lot of pretty women around, which means great bikini sequences.
Other surprises? Ving Rhames is in the pilot, and will apparently be a pretty big part of the show. And if you look close enough, you probably caught a glimpse of Lou Diamond Phillips. Uh ho!
But I digress. Watch the trailer for yourself below:
